What is your fragrance story?
As I pull into the garage after a busy day, I anxiously await my daily stress buster. I shift the car into park, gather my cell phone, keys, purse and other attachments collected through the day and open my car door. I hurriedly stop to love on my four-legged friends and then I begin the ascent. Up the steps; fumbling for the house key; find it; almost there. The key goes into the lock. I turn it with anticipation of what awaits me. My husband? No. My clean house? No. My children? No. It is the smell of Votivo’s Deep Clover. Thank Heaven for the smell of nature and our ability to mimic it as close as it gets to how God made it!

Janet Rosman, Marketing Manager
Hi, I am Janet Rosman, Marketing Manager for Votivo. I enjoy my job because I get to hear about all the different places that fragrances take you. For me, a mother of two, the ‘thinking-time” I have can only occur when I am on the lawn mower cutting grass. No stress, no decisions, just back and forth with the hum of the mower and visual results that prove that you accomplished something. To remind me of this treasured time, I have a Deep Clover Votivo Reed Diffuser strategically placed to greet me each time I enter my back door.
Votivo’s Deep Clover is described as “a gentle blending of recently mowed fescue and rye grass, the clean fresh scent is enlivened with the tangy appeal of red clover peppered with wood chips and earthen moss perfect for a day of self pampering under a blanket of white billowy clouds contrasted against the lush lawn of youth.”
Ahh, can’t you smell it? Can you feel the stress of the day drip away? Tell me your story about your favorite fragrance. I would love to hear about it! The top five stories as rated by our brand team will win a special product prize pack! Get your entries in before November 9, 2009 to be considered for the contest.

It was the summer after my first year in college, and as an independent nineteen year old, I most certainly did not want to spend the summer at home on the farm in Iowa with my parents. I accepted a position as a nanny in a suburb of Chicago, and left home as soon as I’d moved all my things home from the dorm. Life in suburbia was not at all what I was used to, and it turned out that I did miss the quiet life that I was accustomed to. Karen, the mom of the family I was working for, was a realtor. She asked me one Saturday to go sit in the open house of one of the homes that she was trying to sell. She send me along with a candle to burn while there to make the home smell inviting. The candle was a Votivo Red Currant candle. That may well have been one of my great discoveries while away for the summer. It was great to sit in peace with my thoughts and smell that candle. After that I offered to go to several more open houses. After I came home, I forgot about the candle for awhile, and just enjoyed being back home. A couple years ago, I happened to stumble upon a shop that carried them, and I immediately knew that I had to purchase a couple. I ask for them for Christmas, my birthday, and any other holiday that happens to come along. They have turned into my can’t-miss gift. I’m now a new mom of a 5 month old, and am enjoying the peaceful moments when my baby is asleep and the candle is going.

I have a Votivo Cinnamon candle which is now almost gone. I came to your website to find out where to get a new one and was sooooo disappointed to see that cinnamon, a wonderful and classic fragrance, is no longer available. I also noted that vanilla is no longer included in your repetoire. I will now be searching for these from another source. Why have you discontinued such basic, crisp, classic scents? Confused, Laura Crew

I stumbled upon Votivo one day when I was out for some “retail therapy”. This find was beyond what I could’ve imagined! Deep Clover was the scent that touched my soul. I was immediately taken back to the freedom of childhood summer days spent wandering in fields, making “soup” from clover and grasses, then spending ages looking for masterpieces in the clouds. For Christmas, I got a Deep Clover candle for each of my ten siblings so they could experience the same remembrance. The bleakness of winter is difficult for my mother, who loves gardening. This was the perfect scent to help her bide her time until she could get back to the springtime earth she craves! Thank you so much for capturing that scent!
